Resumo:
The objective of this research is to offer ways in order to facilitate literary literacy in the classroom,
highlighting the importance of the teacher to the success of this process. To promote the teaching of
literature, it will be proposed the use of film adaptations of literary works, specially the fairy tale
Cinderella, as a way of stimulating student’s interest by the original text. It will be discussed the
importance of fairy tales to attract student’s attention, since they are short and students can relate
themselves to the story, and it will be shown, through film adaptations that the fairy tales have a
fundamental importance for the intellectual development of children. The cinema is an attractive
vehicle to the raising of interests on fairy tales and this data should be taken into consideration when it
comes to its usage in class. Finally, it will be proposed a didactic sequence based on the interface
literature and cinema with the movie Cinderella (2015) that will work as a proposal to promote literary
literacy.
