Abstract:
Coco is a genre of expression of the cultural manifestation of a people, it has a simple
language and is very common in the Northeast region. The objective of this research
is, therefore, to analyze how the enunciation in Coco is manifested, in order to propose
a didactic intervention in an 8th grade class of Elementary School. For analysis
according to the enunciative principles, we base ourselves theoretically on the Greimas
square, without disregarding authors such as Benveniste (2006). This research is based
on Discourse Analysis, since it appeals to Greimas square in the intention of analyzing
the subject, time and space of discourse as categories of enunciation and enounced. In
this direction, the analysis undertaken here is of a qualitative nature. The research
universe consisted of four emboladas, among which we selected one, which we call
current political scenario that portrays the political crisis experienced by Brazil, as a
corpus for the construction of the analysis in the form of a reading proposal. Here the
intention was not to obtain results in numbers, but to understand how the enunciative
processes occur in this type of popular expression and the relevance of this type of
discourse in the Northeast region, where this manifestation is more common. From the
analysis, we find as results: the subject enunciator is a self that speaks to the people,
putting itself in place in a time of the now and in a space of the here.
