The perfect body desire has caused people who practice some physical activity to adopt radical strategies not always associated with health promotion. From the food point of view, stands out the emergence of many miracle diets and the increase of consumption of nutritional supplements. Thus, the aim of this study was to analyze the food and nutritional supplements consumption and anthropometric profile and the level of nutritional knowledge of women bodybuilders at a gym in the city of Cuité / PB. For anthropometric measurements, were measured weight, height, waist, abdomen, hip and arm circumference, with subsequent calculation and classification of body mass index. The nutritional knowledge and food and nutritional supplements consumption were evaluated through a specific questionnaire and 24 hours Food Recordatory. The sample consisted of women aged between 15 and 41 years. They cited high blood pressure and diabetes mellitus as most present pathologies among their family history. Most interviewees reported bodybuilding as the only practice sports, followed by bodybuilding combined with aerobic exercise. Regarding the use of nutritional supplements, 54% of the sample reported consuming supplements, of these, 44.5% said that the use of nutritional supplements occurred by self-indication and 92.6% indicated the protein supplements as the most consumed. The level of nutritional knowledge was considered low, this may be explained by the 76% of the total sample who reported never having received any type of nutritional guidance. For nutritional evaluation, 10 interviewees were excluded, since they are teenagers and have different nutritional recommendations. Thus the sample for nutritional evaluation totaled in 40 adult women, 85% of these were classified in a state of normal weight, 7.5% with underweight and 7.5% with overweight. In relation to the macronutrient intake the sample showed a low-carbohydrate diet, high protein, and normo-lipidic, the Total Energetic Value found was lower than recommended, offering a calorie deficit of 514.13 Kcal in food consumption, in addition to having a low fiber intake, calcium and iron. Thus, it is concluded that the inclusion of the nutritionist in the academies is very important, since the use of supplements is high, occurring by improper indication, the dietary intake is inadequate and nutritional knowledge is considerably low, and that a balanced diet in macronutrients and micronutrients is necessary to meet the metabolic needs required by each individual according to the practiced exercise.
