Resumen:
Environmental themes never occupied so much space in our society: soil degradation, water pollution, global warming, lack of basic sanitation, garbage, among so many other situations, lead to numerous reflections on the responsibility of each one in the construction of sustainable development. The frenzied consumerism, generating insane attitudes and by other inconsequent, highlights the situation of depletion of natural resources. The school is a space open to these reflections, and it is necessary, if not urgent, that the school community wake up to the reality of the problems that permeate their habitat and develop campaigns to defend the environment, working conscientiously environmental education approach (EA). This survey was conducted in two schools statewide public network Sumé-PB and sought to evaluate the perception of students, teachers and administrators about environmental education and the opportunity to contextualize the themes for co-existence with the Semi-arid. The results suggest that EA is not inserted in the syllabus of the disciplines, that teachers do not receive support for a continued training in environmental thematic and contextualize the content room to coexistence with the semiarid the pedagogical teams believe that lack of integration with the Faculty for the development of EA projects and that students are lacking knowledge of the environmental issue, However are receptive to different methodologies and open to discuss issues of its reality in relation to EA.
