Résumé:
The present study lies in the field of Contextual Education for Coexistence in the Brazilian Semiarid, aiming to know the knowledge constructed by teachers of the disciplines of science and geography for a Contextualized Education in Semiarid of Paraiba, and still see through their teaching practices if the subject is included in the contents and methodologies applied in the classroom, thus contributing to the learning of students. We have adopted for both the qualitative research, and the technique used in data collection procedure was applied to the questionnaire with five (05) teachers in order to know his views on teacher knowledge for Contextual Education. The data obtained in this study demonstrated that the discussion of Contextual Education presents still very shy in school.The initial training of teachers in graduate courses does not allow the articulation of scientific knowledge with practice, leaving in this way, gaps in their training process, thus implying the inefficient approach of content on Semiarid the perspective of Contextual Education. Considering this to be the subject of study, it can be concluded therefore that the teaching practices of teachers of the school selected, there is no evidence of an education based in the coexistence with the Semi-Arid despite the fact there are challenges and expectations as to its construction.
