Florbela espanca: a angústia lírica de uma charneca em flor.

Abstract

This study proposes a poetic text analysis based on the poetry of Florbela Espanca. An investigation is intended about style, literariness and themes of poetry florbelian connected to the literary context of the poet, but with a special emphasis on understanding the lyrical anguish as predominant feeling in florbelian lyricism. This aspect will then run as a privileged way for the analysis and interpretation of poems. In addition, we assess the way in which appears set this lyricism from the formal point of view: almost always mild language, suggestive, simple and sound, however, it functions as a vehicle for the expression of themes, impressions and actual experiences and / or imagined by lyrical of anguished and sad way. The poems in question are not restricted to a particular book, but belong to diverse works of the author. Thus, we have a wider about his poetry vision. Florbela Espanca is constituted as one of the great lyrical voices of Portuguese poetry and composed a steeped in emotion poetry, a strong level of appeal and craving and excessive centrality in poetic self.
