Abstract:
This research aims to understand the development of retextualization process through
the oral genres for writing genres. For this work, a study was conducted about the
importance of working texts in class lesson through oral and written genres, from a
perspective of social literacy. Thus, we emphasize the need for the attention of the
teacher, the school, in relation to the previous knowledge of the students, that is, all
the baggage he has through his life experiences, his values and especially his culture.
In this perspective, the work is based on research carried out by Marcuschi (2001;
2002; 2005; 2008), Beaugrande & Dresseler (1981; 1997), Soares (2001,2006, 2008),
Travaglia (2003), Dell'Isola (2007) Kleiman (2000; 2005; 2008), Antunes (2003),
Bakhtin (2000; 2003), among others, through a qualitative approach, bibliographical
nature which was based on studies in books, writings and virtual academic texts.
Considering the retextualization as the production of a new text from one or more base-
texts, this work presents a proposal of appropriate intervention for students of the 6th
year of basic education. It uses the retextualization from the cordel genre to the genre
fable according to literacy guidelines, with the intention of contributing to the
development of reading and writing skills of students.
