Não é mimimi: feminismo e militância no Cariri Paraibano.

Abstract

The rise of violence against women, especially the femicide, associated with dissemination of the macho and violent behaviors in the Brazilian contemporary society has awakened the woman. So, understand what the people understand about of the Feminism is something of great importance, because the same is one present subject in the society. Thus, the present work has as general objective to point the social representation regarding Feminism in the Cariri of Paraiba. In other perspective intends to analyze what the people know about Feminism and if this knowledge go against or not with the true meaning of the same. Therefore, this work it is a descriptive research with qualitative approach and use of questionnaire technique for data collect. Applied to the residents of the counties of Monteiro, Serra Branca and Sumé. Were analyzed the collected answers, taking as a basis for this analyze the concept of the Feminism. Thus, the data indicated that there are people that know about Feminism and are in favor, as there is those that are against and if support in data that go in opposite directions to Feminism.
