Arranjo produtivo local e desenvolvimento local: um estudo sobre a agricultura orgânica e familiar do município de Monteiro-PB.

Abstract

This paper seeks to understand the dynamics established by the Pacto Project. New Cariri that underpinned the economic development of the Arrangements Local Productive Areas, specifically Family Farming and municipality of Monteiro - PB. The main focus of the research was to highlight the bases constituting Cariri Paraibano's local development project and to discuss the relation of the global to the local, as regards the maximization of the generation of income. Subsequently, the dynamics and the development model were analyzed. fostered by the partner institutions, highlighting the characteristics of the territorial pacts and the formation of Local Productive Arrangements. The work tries answer the following question: did the project incorporate ideas to reverse poverty in the region through the activation of the productive sectors impoverished, generating jobs and income or has a local policy developed of the marginalized socioeconomic segments? Seeking out analyze how the farming families of the municipality of Monteiro developed after the insertion of the project, the investigative principle of The qualitative approach was structured in the procedure called case study. The same revealed a very strong process of alienation that helps to promote a welfare policy, breaking the autonomy of farmers involved and performing a subtle control that compromises the accomplishment of solidarity and self-management of the association. It was identified that the project did not opportunity for the construction of a solidary enterprise that would establish the well-being of all farmers involved, by promoting, on the contrary, the management and competition between them.
