Resumo:
This research aims to point out a way for the contextualized teaching of
children's literature and foster discussions about a cross-cutting theme of relevance
contemporary and crucial: sexual diversity. For the accomplishment of this study, a
research of a basic nature with the exploratory objective, which is characterized by a
bibliographic survey. All work is based on Queer Theory, and seeks
butler (2003), Louro (2009), among other authors, and focuses on
above all the students of elementary school II. This paper is not intended to present a
methodological model, but to make the teacher realize the importance of the theme and
be aware of the existence of children's literature that can help to approach the subject in
classroom. It is expected that the accomplishment of this work will contribute to the dissemination
educational practices that broaden the possibilities for teachers to act in the classroom.

survey of children and youth works that address the theme of sexual diversity so that
teachers can adopt in their classes. At the end of the work, a
