Resumo:
Educational activities carried out at school are also sociocultural activities, which are
exposed to technological reality and, as a consequence, to the fascination process
which comes from it. Thus, it is healthy to reflect on the possibilities of a dialogue
between the technological culture and the education and also the chance of
integrating this technological culture to the pedagogical practice which teachers are
responsible for. Therefore, this work is the result of a research which investigated
how Portuguese lessons are taught, with the use of computers, at the final years of
Primary School. In this regard, the aim was to investigate which methodological
techniques and/ or practices are used by teachers and if the use of computers in
Portuguese classes occurs in a planned way. The locus of this investigation was a
public school located in the interior of Paraiba State, which received 505 (five
hundred and five) portable computers through the Programa Um Computador por
Aluno – PROUCA - program, and by the Grupo Focal (technique research / data
collection), it was investigated the teaching / pedagogical practice of Portuguese
teachers together with the use of educational technologies, particularly the use of
computers, at the final years of Primary school. The work is divided in six parts and
within them it is possible to find discussions about Public Policies of access to
technologies at school, analysis of the use of technological educations in the learning
context and a theoretical study concerning the use of Information and
Communication Technologies – TIC regarding the teaching and learning of
Portuguese, considering inputs by Freire (2008), Masetto (2009), Mercado (2002),
Moran (2009), Selbach (2010), Tardifand Raymond (2000) among others.
Conclusively, after the presentation and analysis of the results, it is proposed an
intervention towards the development of the pedagogical practice allied to the use of
educational technologies, which can be accomplished with Portuguese teachers as
well as the ones from the most varied knowledge areas.
