Resumo:
Working with the dictionary, as a pedagogical material auxiliary to the textbook, is
indispensable for the formal literacy of the students of the basic education,
mainly for elementary students. Let's find out
need to use lexicographic works as we note that students,
both elementary and high school, demonstrate
spelling difficulties, substituting words with equivalent meaning in the
vocabulary inadequacy and word repetition when elaborating a
textual production requested by teachers in the classroom. Therefore, this
This dissertation intends to contribute to the research in the area of Literacy,
Textual Genres and the Use of Dictionaries for Portuguese Learners
as a mother tongue. From this perspective, a look directed at language teaching
bias in pedagogical lexicography is crucial and urgent, since the
Dictionary is an essential teaching tool in the practice of reading and writing within
of the school context. That said, we see the need to be proposing a material
for teachers who teach Portuguese language classes in
reading classes, textual production and rewriting. For that, we use as
main theoretical basis the research by Soares (2014), Tfouni (2010) and Kleiman (2005),
to study about Literacy and Digital Literacy; Bakhtin (2011) and
Marcuschi (2011), to analyze the concepts of Gender from their origin until
the conception of textual genres; and finally Krieger (2012), Bridges (2009), Biderman
(2001), regarding the aspects of Pedagogical Lexicography and the Use of the Dictionary
in the classroom. Regarding the methodological aspects, this research
fits as being applied, since it presents a collection of activities
that can be applied in Portuguese language classes with the objective of improving
the teaching-learning of this discipline through lexicographic works.
Therefore, the textbook elaborating for us, Reading, Text Production and
Rewriting through dictionary use in the classroom: theory and practice
presents a total of nineteen diversified exercises with
above all, lexical enlargement, linguistic variation and
semantics. Given all the research, we found the multiple possibilities that the
school dictionary provides teaching and learning of the Portuguese language in the
scope of formal instruction.
