Resumo:
Quality control consists of interventions that analyze the product complies with the pharmacopoeia specifications. Aspirin is classified as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory. It interferes with the synthesis of prostaglandins by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes and triggering antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory. It also acts to inhibit platelet aggregation in the blood, which allows its use in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases related to thrombus formation. This study aimed to evaluate physical and chemical parameters of acetylsalicylic acid 100 mg in the pharmaceutical pill form of five brands. Average weight analysis, hardness, friability, disintegration and dosing were performed. The tests were performed according to the Brazilian Pharmacopoeia 5th edition, 2010. After the tests, analyzing the results, we found that all tested brands were approved as the average weight specifications, friability, disintegration and determination. For the hardness test, the marks A, B and C are in accordance, since the marks D and E are not within the standards, as presented hardness less than 30 N, and therefore failed the test. The marks A, B and C have been approved by all the tests, they show good quality medicines and is within the required parameters.
