Resumo:
The Environmental Education is presented as a fundamental tool to reverse the current environmental scenario built exacerbated by consumerism, which contributes to significant reduction of social and environmental quality of life. Objective Environmental Education then sensitize and educate society about the environmental problems and the limitation of natural resources. In this sense, was then approved by the National Congress Law nº. 9.795 of 1999, which established the National Environmental Education Policy (PNEA) outlining the guidelines , principles and objectives for the establishment of Environmental Education in formal and non- formal. Thus, we intended to analyze the work aspects with the standards and practices of Environmental Education, developed in certain public school of secondary education in Campina Grande - PB. The research was based on a hermeneutic-systemic methods and case study carried out the investigation process from March to September 2013, from information contained in legal documents, official reports, eyewitness account of those involved and the personal vision reality experienced by the institution. Can be seen, in the course of research that students, teachers, and Regional Management Board of Education do not possess knowledge of federal law that established in Brazil, Environmental Education, indispensable to all levels and types of education and municipal and state regulations. Thus, there is a certain gap between what is established by legal rules and practices of Environmental Education conducted by the school. The actors involved are shown still unaware of concerning the environment and Environmental Education concepts minimum. Environmental projects although there within the school failed to achieve practical implementation with students, as being present only on paper. Only 32% of students said they participate in environmental projects at school. Certain factors contribute to non- inclusion of Environmental Education in the institution, among them, the lack of further training of teachers, clinging to the extremely traditional teaching and inertia of the government. Can conclude from the research that, despite the current PNEA almost 15 years ago, your ignorance is still very considerable, and this factor contributing to the failure to include the practice of Environmental Education in school. Attributed to this lack of insufficient government incentives, lack of initiative on the part of most teachers and the school has not yet developed the precepts established in its Political Pedagogical Project. The relationship of the legal rule establishing Environmental Education with school practices was therefore not found in the school environment.
