Resumo:
The present study makes a poetic analysis based on the literary works Poems of Alleys of Goiás and More Stories and Copper Coin – Half Confessions of Annie by Brazilian writer Cora Coralina. For this purpose, the research went through the critical studies about memory and poetry, as well as readings about personality formation, given that these are, maybe, one of the critical points to understand the Cora Coralina‘s poetic. We selected, for theoretical support, some authors whose works covers literary theory, autobiographical poetry, memory and personality theory. They are: Moisés (1984), D‘onófrio (2007), Remédios (2004), Bosi (1994), Filloux (1983), Piaget (1975) and D‘Andrea (2001). Beside these, others authors are presented throughout the text. With this study, we aimed to discuss how the memories show up in the Cora Coralina‘s work, With this study, we aimed to discuss how the memories show up in the Cora Coralina‘s work, analysing her verses and the way they are similar to her personal life. Further researches are needed in order to study the life and work of Cora Coralina, particularly the studies already mentioned in this text. In the light of these results, it is possible to understand how the autobiography is present in the work of Cora Coralina and how much her work was influenced by her childhood.
