The gestational period consists of 40 weeks and it is characterized as a physiological phenomenon, which his evolution in most cases, happens without any interference. This work sought to assess nutritional status, obstetric and social-economic factors, of the pregnant women assisted by Family Health Units (FHU) in a small town. It is an epidemiological cross-sectional study with 45 pregnant women and as data collection instruments were used structured questionnaires which assessed the pregnant women assisted by Family Health Units from Urban Zone of the municipality of Cuité-PB and were registered until the month of August 3013. To perform the Nutritional Evaluation of pregnant women, we used the scale and audiometer’s own of the FHU. Statistical analysis was performed using in the Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) program, version 13.0, from which tables and chats to analyse the results have been built. After the approval of the Ethics Committee and the Research in Humans Beings of the Alcides Carneiros’ Hospital under number CAAE – 17112613.1.0000.5182. The results show that pregnant women have mostly aged between 2and 37 years, 59,1% reported being married/stable relationship 88,9% live in house of masonry and 88,9 had a family income between 1 and 2 minimum salaries. Accord to the education, 53,3% of the evaluated pregnant women have high school. Regarding the number of appointments by gestational week two pregnant women were on the 3rd trimester had only held two appointments throughout the prenatal care. The prevalence in both the Nutritional Status Pre-Gestational as the Nutritional Status Gestational was eutrophic with 59,1 and 45,9 respectively. By linking nutritional status with the pregnant women’s education there was not significant statistical relationship. In this case, nutritional, obstetric and social-economic data were relevant because it enabled the design of the scenario of the pregnant women assisted in the 5 UBS of this municipality and the contribution to the future planning of public policies aimed at determining in health promotion, and better quality of life to the woman in gestational and pre-gestational period that municipality.
