A variação linguística a luz do gênero cordel: delineando possibilidades.

Abstract

This work presents a study on the variationist linguistics and its contribution to the deconstruction of the prejudice on the linguistic variations existing in our environment evidenced, as well as the importance of the standard norm we must also value the social variants, since they are extremely important and of signification for the studies of language and for the process of formation of speech and, by extension, of writing. It has as theoretical contribution the studies of Bagno (2015), Mussalim (2007), Marchuschi (2010), Antunes (2010), through a qualitative approach, emphasizing the studies of sociolinguistics, for the demystification of linguistic prejudice in relation to Brazilian Northeast’s folk-popular poems, which will have its written modality to compare. It has as general objective to highlight the importance of Brazilian Northeast’s folk-popular poems for the understanding of the linguist variation as a social phenomenon. It is important to point out the Sociolinguistics as indispensable theoretical basis for understanding linguistic variation, thus distinguishing the different types of linguistic variations, evaluating, in the light of a Patativa do Assaré’s Brazilian Northeast’s folk-popular poem how it is reflected on the linguistic variations in different places. Through different theories, which show the relationship between speech and writing, that is, its consequences in the communicative process, that despite its specificities, the speaker needs the two modalities to communicate and that the act of devaluation sometimes is nothing but a lack of knowledge of the linguistic process that our speech suffers in the course of time. This comparison process will allow readers to identify similarities and differences in spoken and written text.
