Resumo:
This monograph aims to propose a didactic intervention involving themes and figures, from the
Mifô’s cartoons, applicable to High School. For that, we structured the semiotic theory, starting
from the Generating Path of Significance, delimiting with detail the thematization and the
figurativization; we selected the cartoons for the reading corpus in the form of didactic
intervention applicable to High School; we listed the predominant themes in the cartoons; and
we identified the themes and figures present in the cartoon, aiming their applicability as a
reading event in the High School classroom. In addition to the greimasian semiotic theory
(1983), on which this research is based, we also look for the Didactic Sequence of Schneuwly
and Dolz (2004), as a basis for the construction of the intervention proposal. However, our
intention is to use it as an inspiration for the elaboration of the modules, without faithfully
following all the steps proposed by the authors. This is a qualitative documentary research.
From a universe of 38 cartoons, we selected two as corpus. We used an interview as an
instrument not for analysis basis, but to introduce the author of the cartoons that were analyzed.
From the general observation of the Mifô’s cartoons, we find that the predominant theme is the
underworld politics, once we find more cartoons of this thematic universe. And from the
analysis in the form of a reading proposal, the themes that emerged in the cartoon A,
denominated Feminine Representation, were: misogyny and feminine emancipation; and in the
cartoon B, called Digital Influence, themes like influence and manipulation appeared.
