Résumé:
This research aims to analyze the notion of historical time for History teachers of the
Nelson Batista Alves State High School, in the municipality of Bernardino Batista, State
of Paraíba. It is with the purpose of understanding these multiple conceptions of time
and as teachers understand, the notion of historical time in the history classes works that
our research dialogues with authors as much of the field of the theory of History as Reis
(2008), Braudel (1990) and Bloch (1999). We will also talk with authors of the field of
history teaching such as Bittencourt (2004), Caimi (2015), Cainelli (2004). We will
discuss the challenges of history teaching, which will be the central theme of this
research, which is the notion of historical time for teachers and how they work this
notion in their classrooms. This research brings a debate around issues that involve the
teaching of history, putting as history teachers historical time, how they work in their
classes, and we could perceive throughout our research that it is a difficult job according
to the teachers, but extremely important for the understanding of history.
