Resumo:
The textual production activity for many primary and secondary school students, it is a
complex and difficult task to be performed. At this point of view, this study has aimed to
discuss the retextualization practice contribution to the literacy perspective as a strategy to
develop the students of the 8th year of elementary school textual production ability. As a
theoretical basis, this research was based on the work developed by Soares (2014), Kleiman
(2005; 2007), Rojo (2009), Tfouni (2010), Koch (2015), Marcuschi (2012; 2010; 2008; 2002),
Dell 'Isola (2007), among others.Since this is a qualitative approach of bibliographic nature,
the research was based on books and writings and virtual academic texts and the developed
method was deductive, from the information rationalization with interpretive nature from the
general to the particular. The work proposal, presented as an answer to the problem, which
concerns the difficulties that students have to produce texts, was an activity to be carried out
with students of the 8th Year of secondary school about the retextualization of Email and
chronic genres on a literacy perspective. In this manner, this research is relevant to the
Academy because it is a job that helps in the teaching and learning process of Portuguese
classes and gives its contribution to the cognitive development of students as well as their
writers abilities of distinct texts in society, in particular the field of email and chronic genres.
