Resumo:
The frogs of the savanna, semiarid climate of the region in the northeast, show physiological and behavioral adjustments different during the year. In this sense, the frog-butter, Leptodactylus macrosternum (Miranda-Ribeiro, 1926) (ANURA, LEPTODACTYLIDAE), which features small to medium sized, nocturnal habit and easy adaptation to antropofizados environments, was used as a biological model in order to assess the physical parameters such as length rostrum cloacal and liver weights, gonads and fatty bodies of this species in a period of 12 months between May 2013 and April 2014. The animals were collected in the Horto Florestal Eye d'agua da Bica in the municipality of Cuité-PB. The values obtained were subjected to seasonal comparison, the Kruskal-Wallis test with significance level (p≤0,05). 55 individuals were collected of which 29 were males and 26 females. The months of September and October 2013 and January, February, March and April 2014 showed no animals in field sampling. On the other hand, the month of June 2013 was presented the larger sample of the collected specimens. There was no significant variation in the values of the rostrum vent length over the months for both sexes. However, the mean body weight for males showed significant differences between the months of May and August, June and August, June and November, July and August, July and November, August and December and November and December. The values of gonadal weight, weight of fat bodies and liver weight showed no significant variations between their representatives.
