Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze how representations and narratives constructed
around the figure of the character Luis Carlos Prestes in his political action
principles of the tenentist uprisings in the 1920s to the end after the
Red Uprising in the 1930s. From authors and works (biographies,
novels and string leaflets) that they portrayed verbatim, I seek to show how
his image was becoming plural, mainly by the various voices,
representations and narratives that focus on his return. The voices and works
narrating Luis Carlos Prestes and which are analyzed here are: the biographies of his
daughter, Anita Leocádia Prestes, and that of Daniel Aaron Reis; already in literature and string
we have names like Jorge Amado, Antonio Queiroz de França and Medeiros
Braga. I want to problematize the multiple faces so much that Luis Carlos Prestes
presents these works as well as as fabricated or myth of their actions
heroic.
