Resumo:
The feeding ecologic study of Anurans it’s extremely essential for knowledge of the life biology of these animals, since that provides requerid data about their habitat, morphology, physiology and behavior. In the present work was analyzed the diet of the species Leptodactylus macrosternum, of the farm Cajueiro, city of Catolé do Rocha, wilderness region of Paraíba. The subjects species gathering was executed during 9 months by the years of 2013 and 2014, twice a month, by hearing/visual active gathering. The food contents were screened and classified in the taxonomic categories of Order. Were identified 10 feeding categories, being 7 belonging to the class Insecta, 2 Arachinida, 1 Gasthropoda, in addition to vegetables and ground/rock. Were considered to statistical analyzes only the animal groups. The main food itens on the diet, according to the Index of Alimentary Importance, were Coleoptera and Hymenoptera, followed by Odonata, Hemiptera and Orthoptera. According to the seasonal results, it was found that occurred variations in the ingestion of preys throughout the study period, mainly related to the absorption of Coleoptera, this variation being probably attached to the monthly rainfall levels. The absorption of Vegetables and ground/rock in this work were accepted has an accident, considering the habitat of their diversity of preys.
