The activities that were developed with the students were: experiences in the classroom, questionnaires, lectures, among other teaching strategies. The results showed that students mostly (n = 38) did not obtain a knowledge of the number of species of sea turtles. About the importance of preservation of sea turtles, the students of the class 8A attributed great importance to the preservation of the environment (n = 35). It reported that it is of extreme importance to seek new themes to school due to lack of information of the subjects of the marine environment, showing a reality distant concepts of everyday life, a form of compensation of the difficulties arising from the fact that they are so far from coastal regions.
