This work was carried out in order to plan, execute and analyze a didactic sequence in environmental education, addressing the solid waste issue in basic education in a municipal school Cuité, PB. Recycling through play was worked through theoretical and practical activities where students had the opportunity to play with the material made from scraps. The pedagogical action project was developed with a group of students from the 5th grade of elementary school I. To prepare this thesis work, we take the experience as a participant research. We use observation, then record in a diary and photographic records, and interviews as a data source. And the student assessment has been made throughout the development of the project taking into consideration the involvement and form of participation. Students proved to be motivated and interested parties during the course of the workshop, as they actively participated and engaged in the production of toys, as well as room for behavior change, become more responsible with regard to cleaning the classroom, starting to play the trash in the trash. This work was able to start a children's sensitization process on the need for conservation of the environment and especially the importance of solid waste management.
