Resumo:
This paper aims to discuss the possibilities of use of literary works in teaching Geography.
Initially we will talk about the history of this as a science, discussing the problems that it has
faced over the years, then further considerations on the teaching of this discipline will discuss
some issues regarding the current context of school Geography. Later we will consider the
correlation between geography and literature, pointing out the contributions that this second
field of study can bring to the geography lessons. Finally we analyze the literary work The
Fifteen Rachel de Queiroz, giving approach the main representations of natural phenomena
"dry" contained in that work.
