Résumé:
This research is an analysis about the group of historical publications that relate the political
events occurred in the end of the period of the Colonels’ Republic in Paraíba during the João
Pessoa’ Government (1928-1930). i. e., the intra-oligarchic that culminated in a armed conflict
between the police forces from the Paraíba state commanded by João Pessoa and the seditious
defenders of from Princesa, city in the same state, and they had as leader the colonel José
Pereira, a state representative. The focus is to expose the production of writing by the parties as
we observe through the construction of distinct representations for the involved characters this
fact. The study was developed with a historiographical aspect searching the most proven
readings in the bibliography about the theme, besides to discover on them the productions of
pictures about João Pessoa and José Pereira in discourses that shape a manacheistic and dubious
writing about the characters, alternating between the notes that implement a representation of
the good or the harm for each one. Then, the study centers in the research in relation to as largely
the existing historiography about the theme is concise in that field, which put on the political
conducts and actions from those who initially were allied and party of “epitacista” oligarchy in
different places and so from the same power structure, referencing to the fact that the each
writer implements for himself distinct perspectives about the same event with the aim to
prosecute the figures which desire to develop for each one those who obtain the main function
about the facts in theirs narratives.
