GOMES, Maria José da Silva.
Resumen:
The main proposal of this work consists in the construction of indigenous collective memory,
taking into consideration the historiographical consultation as well as the search to understand
the discovery of the Figueiredo Report, which represents a construction of the natives history.
This source was fundamental for conducting the research, which provided important
information data to the investigation. The objective of this work is to discuss the historical
processes of violence that have been linked to the native populations in Brazil, through their
turbulent relationship with the State. The bibliographical research involves the systematic
collection of books, theses, and monographs produced on the topic, as also video reports, as
well as the synthesis of the Figueiredo Report. This resulted in the use of historical evidence
to trace the elaboration of the study that had been used as support, permeating these questions.
It contributes to reflections about the importance of collective memory.
