Abstract:
The distribution power systems are subject to untimely events that can lead to disruption of power supply. The distribution power system for high voltage with characteristic predominantly radial and without charge transfer options, an untimely shutdown can reach a region of great proportions in relation to the concession area. Isolated or repaired the defect which triggered off the shutdown begins the process of rebuilding the system, consisting of the maneuverings for power-distribution lines, substations and loads, which may require dozens of operations in reclosers, switches and circuit breakers, demanding considerable time to normalization of the 69 kV dsitribution power
system. The aim of this study is to analyze the effects of the nergization within a large area of an electric power system through only one 69 kV high voltage circuit breaker unit, without violating withstand limits of the system equipments.Thus significantly reducing the system recovering time. For this purpose we present an electromagnetic transient study methodology through digital simulations via ATP (Alternative Transient
Program), using techniques and analysis tools in frequency domain tools, statistical switching study of circuit breakers and deterministic study in the time domain. Identifying situations of greater severity as the surge to reflect the observed bar loading and the presence of capacitor banks. Thus showing that in these situations of greater
severity as the surge, it is feasible for the implementation of power-handling system with the operation of a single equipment disjunction, significantly reducing the time required for the restoration of the 69 kV distribution system.
