Abstract:
In the present study we analyzed the performance of municipal public management in relation to environmental health in the context of the 9 municipalities (Aparecida, Lastro, Marizópolis, Nazarezinho, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Sao Jose da Lagoa Tapada, Sousa and Vieirópolis) Paraíba Regional Health Management. To this end, we used 15 environmental health indicators subdivided into 4 categories / dimensions: Health Indicators, Demographic and Social Indicators, Economic Indicators and Collection and Sewage Indicators that were collected through the SIM database, SIAB-DATASUS. , IBGE, SIH / SUS, SI-PNI and SIOPS-DATASUS. Systemic analysis techniques were used to structure the model that were later analyzed and treated using the PROMETHEE II Method to build value over-classification relations that helped in decision making by making pairwise comparisons between cities versus indicators that enabled the formation of environmental health raking in these municipalities. After forming this ranking we obtained the following ranking in order of the best to the worst: Sousa (Municipal Environmental Health Index - ISAM = 0.40), Santa Cruz (ISAM = 0.18), Nazarezinho (ISAM = 0.07) ), Marizópolis (ISAM = 0.04), São José da Tapada Lagoon (ISAM = -0.06), San Francisco (ISAM = -0.07), Aparecida (ISAM = -0.12), Ballast (ISAM = -0.12) and Vieirópolis (ISAM = -0.31), where the criteria that most contributed to this classification were: vaccination coverage, cases of infant and infectious and parasitic disease deaths, and health investments by inhabitant.
