Résumé:
Tuberculosis is an age-old infectious disease that continues to plague mankind nowadays and the detection of tuberculosis is one of the priorities of the National Tuberculosis Control Program , and the active pursuit of Symptomatic Respiratory needs to be incorporated into the routine of work all members of the healthcare team, particularly the community health workers. The work of ACS is critical as it is close to the problems that affect the community and promotes the transformation of problem situations that compromise the quality of life for families. The objective of this study is to analyze the knowledge of community health workers about tuberculosis control. As a method we used integrative review characteristics including methodological rigor in which all stages of the research are described in detail. This review involved a sample of 8 articles, all published in Portuguese , present in the Scielo, Lilacs and Medline dated 2004 to 2012, all addressing the issue of community health agent in tuberculosis control. The review showed a higher incidence of findings related to the fragility of the ACS to develop in their routine work necessary for tuberculosis control measures, risk and prevalence of tuberculosis infection development activities recommended by the Ministry of Health in carrying out measures for the diagnosis of TB and BSR in disease control. These findings indicate the need to extend the theoretical foundation of community health workers in tuberculosis.
