Résumé:
In Brazil, the advancement of health services was given by the Health Reform and the creation of the Unified Health System, attributing the change to health care model that prioritizes as the first level, the primary health care by encouraging actions health promotion and prevention of diseases and disorders, targeted to family health. However, man still retains higher strength as their participation in primary health care and this can be elucidated by some reasons such as gender stereotype, socio-cultural and institutional barriers. As for men workers with special needs, we realize the addition of other difficulties, represented by the lack of accessibility and lack of assistance proposals. With this, the objective of this research was: To analyze the participation of men workers with physical disabilities in primary health care. The theoretical framework is divided into three topics, namely: Changes and challenges in public policy in the Brazilian health: the awakening to the insertion of the Primary Health Care; The social construction of masculinity: focus on working man and Implications on health care for disabled people in the Family Health Strategy. The study is methodologically anchored in exploratory and descriptive, qualitative approach in, saturation in the sample, conducted with men workers Users of Integrated Support Center Foundation Impaired selected from the criteria for inclusion and exclusion of this research service. As an instrument for data collection was used to interview guided by a semi-structured script. Because it is a research involving humans, attended Resolution 466/12 of the National Health Council, and was approved by the Ethics Committee of the University Hospital Alcides Carneiro under CAAE Nº 30962414.1.0000.5182. From the results obtained characterized the subject, in which all men were workers, mostly adults and mostly single. Defining the objects of study, seized up four categories, defined by: Identifying the importance of primary health care for men workers with special needs; Investigating what the obstacles are to the endurance of men workers with special needs seek primary health care; Checking the knowledge of men workers with special needs on the care proposals offered in primary health care; Revealing whether the aid proposals contribute to the social inclusion of men workers with special needs. Thus, one realizes that the emergence of PNAISH and policies for people with disabilities was not enough to put the disabled man in the context of health. So, evidence that
the team that makes up the primary health care has strong influence to make the policies are met, along with such populations.
