Resumo:
This is work was developed for to test one silo model, builded of wood, that is an
abundant material in Brazil of North Region, for to store guarana (Paullinia cupana
H.B.K.) grains, considering that this product, still is stored, in the conventional form,
or, in sacks. Thus, the model builded and designed was developed for to introduce at
Amazonas of State a new form of stored of guarana in grain, giving at producer
advantages about the stored in sacks. The silo model proposed, has quadrate section,
has hoopper toward discharge, was make with wood and screwed. The species utilized
of timber was the quaruba (Vochisia maxima), that is a common species and of cost
relativement lower, the product utilized to realization of tests was the guarana
(Paullinia cupana H.B.K.) of economy potential considerable in the Amazonas of
State. The tests were make for know the wall deflection in the silo, when in condition
of filling, in condition static and in condition of discharge. The theoretical deflections
were evaluated by horizontal theoretical pressures obtained for method of JANSEN
and D1N( Standard German), while that the deflection were evaluate by equation
adapted at study in two setting beam and two supported beam, making after
comparisons with the result experimental. The process of construction the of silo was
simple. In the evaluation the of deflection, the theoretical method that presented
approximation the of experiments deflection, was when considering the wall of silo by
two setting beam. During the experiments, too, was obtained the humidity of product,
evaluated flow form and the flow velocity.
