Resumen:
This master work deals with single-phase static power converter and single-phase universal active power filter. Some of the static converter treated in this work were used to compose the configurations of the proposed universal active filters. It is presented a study about the operation characteristics of three types of single-phase static converters: half-bridge, full-bridge and shared-leg converter. A PWM modulation and studies about the current at the switches and at the DC-Bus capacitor for each configurations will also be presented. The decision about which configuration to be used as integrated part of filter´s configurations is made by the analysis of DC-Bus current for each converter. It is presented some of the active power filter´s configurations with and without transformer. For each filter´s configurations were analyzed situations in which the voltage source presents problems related with harmonics and overvoltage that must be compensated in the manner that the load do not "feel"the effect of this disturbances. The simulation and experimental results of the converters and active filters configurations are presented.
