Resumo:
For some time the study and development of Soft Sensor has grown and become an alternative to using real sensors. It can be said that a "soft sensor" is a system designed to replace the temporary or permanent availability of a sensor in a plant. This replacement may
be required because the physical sensor failed or because it was removed for maintenance. In this dissertation it has been used an experimental platform with a steel cantilever beam, electrical resistance strain gages, a wire with Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) as mechanical
actuator, and a data acquisition board to obtain the measures relating to a sample of the voltage on the wire and the voltage related to the deformation of the beam. And through the soft sensor concepts it has been made the development of a program implemented in LabVIEW, for monitoring deformation of this beam. Data collected from processes of heating and cooling of the wire by Joule effect have been used to show the characteristic of hysteresis of the system. With the input data (voltage measured in the alloy) and output (voltage measured in strain gauges) of the system, it has been used the Matlab system identification tool, System Identification Tool or ident, to obtain first-order models for the system. The implemented program replaces the physical sensor when that signal is lost, preventing the process to be stopped for maintenance or exchange of the sensor.
