The study was conducted in Welfare Foundation of Paraíba, with a patient with advanced cancer presenting wound neoplastic stage III. The survey was conducted from script to Physical Examination based on the Theory of Basic Human Needs Horta (1979) and equipment used to measure physiological signs (vital signs) and anthropometric. Fourteen (14) nursing diagnoses were built, taking into account the psychobiological and psychosocial needs. Therefore, it is concluded that the nursing process is the most appropriate way to care for patients with advanced cancer, as an individual directs assistance, systematic and dynamic.
