Resumo:
The present work was inserted in the field of the reflection about the teaching of
History in the first five years of the Elementary School. The training of the teacher
and the possibility of mastering all the contents of the areas of Science, Geography,
Portuguese Language, History and others are discussed, with sufficient conditions to
contribute to the formation of a student who is able to reflect and understand the
world in that lives. To know the importance of content that is passed on in the
classroom; and to get students to learn all the disciplines taught by him, since the
same in the early years is a teacher multipurpose teacher. Thus, this research aims
to identify how the Teacher Training courses prepare their students to work in Years
Basic Education Early in the discipline of history. Through a documentary analysis,
with a qualitative approach, using as a source the Pedagogical Political Projects of
the Pedagogy Courses of two Institutions of Higher Education and one of the Normal
Level and the Course plans of the disciplines related to the teaching of History. It was
verified that in all three course the disciplines that exist to teach History are limited to
teaching methods of teaching, evaluation and guidelines of History teaching in Brazil.
Showing the concern of the courses with how to do it, methodologies and practices,
leaving out of their curricular components the theoretical part, without which it is
difficult to exist the link between theory and practice. Thus, this research
demonstrates that it is important for schools to invest in continuing education for
teachers, in their specific areas, which provides a more in-depth understanding of the
more complex contents, which will allow a more effective teaching practice. Is a need
for Greater attention in undergraduate courses aimed at this training in specific
disciplines, either with a change in curricular structure or as an offer of extracurricular
courses.
