The school starts to require the educator a new way of thinking and teaching. In this context, this paper presents a case study of the use of ICTs in the teaching of chemistry, investigating aspects and influences. The development environment of this research was the State School of Elementary and Secondary Education Orlando Venâncio dos Santos, located in the municipality of Cuité-PB. The survey was conducted in the period April to December 2013. In this were involved about 85 students in the first year of the diurnal high school, teenagers from both genders in the age range 15-18 years, living in urban and rural areas. To collect data have been applied multiple choice questionnaires targeted to students and open questionnaire which focused on teaching responsible of classes involved. The entire research process had direct monitoring of the chemistry teacher, then teaching of classes. The technological courseware used explored the learning of some periodic properties, through audio visual. The results evidenced that the use of ICT for teaching some properties presented significant contribution, improving the understanding of concepts. For teaching the use of ICT is challenging but invigorating and satisfying, contributing positively to the performance of your practice.
