Promoting health is defined by the World Health Organization as a process that allows people to increase control and his health condition, or are actions that seek to change habits of individuals living in certain communities through the implementation of an assistance not only healing, but covering preventive action, considering the environment and socioeconomic conditions of each community. Therefore these actions are included by public policies within the Primary Health Care implemented in the Basic Family Health, through educational activities developed by the nurse is supposed to be more connected to the needs and desires of the community. The objective of this research is to investigate how to turn their health education by (a) nurse (a) in Primary Health Care Qualitative research is an exploratory and descriptive, which is a structured interview instrument used in semistructured how to interview for nurses (as), which has as main objective to manage the Primary Care Family Health, held in the unity of the urban area of Cajazeiras-PB, respecting all ethical prioritizing the anonymity and identity of the persons insured by Resolution 196/96. The assessment and collection of the scripts was made in the period from June to September of 2012 through the method of thematic analysis. In analyzing eight nurses were interviewed, where he found the educational activities are important in UBSF and as such can act in everyday population. Yet it was evident disinterest on the part of the population in insert themselves in this scenario, as cited by nurses, as such practices are basically designed for professionals seeking to reach the needs outlined. From this it is clear that there is still a huge way to go to public policy and citizens' rights may be exercised correctly, this path that tends to change the way individuals behave towards their own health, and professionals, especially nurses, health education as an instrument of consciousness developer targeting self-care.
