Resumo:
The role of nursing management, such as managing the labor process, aims to work organization and human resources in nursing. In this sense, nurses working in formal education, ie in schools of nursing have a responsibility in relation to the need to reflect, evaluate the programs and methods used in the training of their students. Thus, pedagogical approaches acquire priority role in the teaching-learning relationship. The aim of this study was to reveal the contribution of pedagogical approaches to training of incoming students from the Bachelor of Nursing from a federal institution of higher education in northeastern Brazil. Methodologically anchored in dialectical historical materialism which proposes that the empirical world is just phenomenal manifestation of reality, ie, are primary representations arising from their projections in the developing consciousness of men to the surface of the essence of the design of freshmen students about the pedagogical approaches used in the classroom. Made use of discourse analysis proposed by Fiorin through qualitative research with six freshmen students of Kurdish Nursing. It can be seen that most of the students surveyed indicated use of sociocultural pedagogical approaches in the classroom converging to one concerned with the critical and reflective aspect since the beginning of the academic training of the nurse manager training.
