Resumo:
Whit the significant increase of the process of urbanization in the medium and
big cities, an important volume of rubbish came out and this fact caused several
problems to the society and to the environment. After that it was necessary that the
governmental and no governmental agencies work together and plan the politics of
sustainable development for the sector of the civil construction and this way it's possible
to minimize the indiscriminate use of the natural resources. This work researched the
qualification and quantification of the rubbish in the vertical construction in the city of
Campina Grande, through collection of data of fifteen selected buildings, in several
phases of execution, during the period six months. During the studies it was observed
that the phase of the construction intervenes whit the amount of trash. For example, the
period when the concrete is used the phase that presents the lesser rubbish generation on
the other hand the biggest amount observed was the covering phase. So when the
construction is well planned, projected and executed certainly it will decrease the
amount of rubbish and consequently would cause minor costs and loss of raw material.
The results had shown an important volume of rubbish, which is composite almost in the
totality for mineral fraction So, this work concludes that the city of Campina Grande
will be able to use this residue as raw material in the proper place where it was
generated. It was suggested an including diagnosis, when it must know all the
clandestine points of dump of the rubbish, its the qualification and quantification of all
the activities related with the civil construction in the city of Campina Grande, as well as
a more rigid fiscalization for the public job, this way it will be known the final
destination of the rubbish.
