Asthma deserves greater emphasis as the main chronic childhood disease and its symptoms cause distress to affected children and his families. Becomes of paramount importance that the family of these children have proper knowledge about the factors that trigger the asthma attacks, your control and prevention. This study aims to summarize the studies published in journals of Nursing, between the years 2004 to 2014 seeking evidence about how families of asthmatic children promote care actions directed to these, as regards the prevention of the occurrence of crisis, as well as handling them. Nine articles were selected from literature in LILACS, ASBAI and SCIELO databases and then held their reading, followed by data collection, these articles were selected according to the Inclusion and exclusion criteria. Studies show that the families of asthmatic children have some uncertainties about the care of the same, specially in relation to prevention of the triggering factors of the disease, there is the need to create programs aimed at health education for children with asthma, as well as more studies aimed at prevention of the triggering factors and how these families should proceed before a crisis.
