Abstract:
HIV / AIDS is one of the most troubling public health problems. Thus in order to obtain an early diagnosis of infection with this virus, the National STD / AIDS, Ministry of Health established the decentralization of rapid HIV testing for Primary Care.The proposed objectives for this study were the following: Analyze knowledge assisted in the municipalities of UBSF Cuité-PB, about the offer of HIV testing women; Characterize the sample regarding age, marital status, number of children, work activity, chosen codename; Investigate the understanding of women about aspects of the offer of HIV testing; Ascertain the facilities or difficulties and access to HIV testing. Thus the development of this study, a survey was conducted of the exploratory qualitative approach. 16 interviews with women attending UBSF of Cuité-PB were performed. The data were analyzed according to the technique of Thematic Content Analysis mode proposed by Bardin, which is organized around a categorization process, after the analysis of the interviews yielded four thematic categories and six subcategories. . The results and discussions, most respondents answered that the anti-HIV test detects HIV, however a small group did not answer clearly, leading to the assumption that there is a knowledge deficit among them viruses. Regarding the opportunity to undergo the test, the majority reported having conducted the examination only a small proportion reported ever having been tested, which enlarges the space of vulnerability to HIV TV. As to the question whether there was counseling before or after the exam, some said yes and others said they were not oriented, it can be seen that when women are not oriented properly become vulnerable to opportunistic infections. Regarding the importance of the exam in UBSF, 100% of women claimed to be of paramount importance for this service if you install the Community espoco, keeping in touch with people. To finish the interviewees were also asked whether there were difficulties associated with access to this test in UBSF, they claimed not face any problem to perform, some entretantanto emphasized that this test is still little known by the public, because if the offer be prioritized for pregnant women.
