Résumé:
The adolescence is characterized as a gradual step of puerícia transition to adulthood,
described as evolutionary stage of the life cycle. A period of discoveries and experiences that
mark the development of personality and self-knowledge, solidifying the exercise of sexuality
according your physical maturation, causing changes and probable conflicts. This study
sought analyze acquirements and practices of the adolescents in contraception of emergency.
Encompassing these specific objectives: to describe the social profile of adolescent and
school; identify preventive practices of pregnancy, investigating teenagers knowledge about
emergency contraception; investigate the use of contraceptives for emergency. It’s about a
study of a descriptive, exploratory character, with qualitative approach. The subjects of the
study were 15 high school students, a public school, three men and twelve women. The
instrument to collection of datas was a questionnaire self applied, with subjective questions,
that guided the research. The ethical principles of Resolution 196/96 of the National Health
Council were followed, in the conducting the research. The qualitative datas were analyzed by
the method Analysis of Content, which resulted in the elaboration of categories, which were
analyzed in your modality of analysis thematic. The profile of students was constituted of
both sexes, with aged between 14 and 20 years old, of active and early sex life, marital mostly
singles, two of them married, live with their parents, there are those who live with a close
relative or partner. Regarding educational formation, attend different series of middle schools,
distributed in the rotation of operation of the educational institution (morning or evening).
Regarding students' conceptions about the emergency contraception, reveal a marked
expression of knowledge, limited, about contraceptive methods. On the speeches was showed
that the students, although of accustomed with the method contraception of emergency, have a
shortage of specific and essential knowledge relative to performance and effectiveness of the
emergency contraception. There was found a lack of information, due to lack of sex
education. It’s believed that the dissemination of appropriate informations must appear at the
base of the orientation of these individuals, in other words, family and school participating
actively of the development of values and sexual practices, articulated to health sectors. So, it
becomes essential to evaluate the adolescence and your many contexts, through of the
biological, psychological, social and cultural aspects, inseparable factors, expanding the
comprehension of the necessity of the adolescents, facilitating their choices.
