Resumo:
This dissertation has as objective to establish a methodology that
allows to project the branching water distribution networks economically, through
the nonlinear programming. The employment of the nonlinear programming
simplifies the design, representing with larger fidelity the physical problem,
allowing the employment of softwares available in the market, such like MAT LAB.
The utilization of this method warrants a reduction of the net cost of approximately
9%, when compared with the design of systems using conventional methods.
