Résumé:
Adolescence is a phase of several physical changes, psychological and social, generated
by the transition between childhood and adulthood. The difficulties in dealing with
these changes and neglect of the possible risks of unprotected sexual intercourse, may
favor the occurrence of an unplanned pregnancy, which is considered a public health
problem, given that rates have reached high levels, mainly between communities that
are socially vulnerable, due to several factors such as education, family structure and
socioeconomic stability. Thus, this study aimed to understand the psychosocial effects
of pregnancy on the lives of adolescents in the context of social vulnerability.
Participated in this research nine young men who were in a state of pregnancy or
maternal. It was used as an instrument of data collection a script of semi-structured
interviews with objective questions which traced the socio-demographic profile of the
participants, and subjective questions that examined the psychosocial effects of teenage
pregnancy. Data were analyzed according to qualitative analysis. The results showed
that adolescents had knowledge and access to contraception before pregnancy, and this
occurred predominantly from the desire for the same. Prevailed acceptance of
pregnancy, by the families of the teens, although the initial reactions of parents or
guardians have included the expression of anger, fright or mention that it was too early
to get pregnant. The mother and the young companion were cited as examples of
closeness and support. Most of the group did not repent and means the child as the most
important in their lives. Thus, it was found that the risk factors for teenage pregnancy
are associated to lack of orientation within and outside the family environment and the
neglect of the use of contraceptives. The life plans have changed, going to assume the
responsibilities of mother and wife, and the same went to seek the improvement of
living conditions. It was also found that the unplanned pregnancy brings with it
numerous repercussions on the lives of teenagers, they said that there was a reduction in
the number of outputs with friends and migration from the parental home to the house
of the partner or in-laws, which caused some difficulties that made the young more
insecure, with away from family and friends. Consider - if that teen pregnancy is a
complex phenomenon that requires new sources of understanding, it presents many
peculiarities that need to be evaluated through an active listening of young people.
Highlights the importance of awareness of professional networks, as important allies in
best host these teenagers and an effective support for the family networks. The research
followed the Resolution 196/96 of the CNS.
