The subject of this article deals with the reflexes of Environmental Licensing in the Sustainable Development of Agroindustrial Systems, aiming to understand and to present a debate about the relation between environmental sustainability and development, around the agroindustrial systems, considering the influence of Licensing in this scope, not aiming, however. , exhaust the subject or present a complete manual on any of the three topics involved. The research work used the procedural methodology of bibliographic and documentary type, within an exploratory approach, based on books (presented in the research project), documents (laws, resolutions, websites indicated by the authors searched) and scientific articles from the research. CAPES platform (based on specific search formula). In the preliminary phase, 15 citation forms were prepared to be used as a basis, and then revised to compose the reference of this article. As results and conclusions, we understand, based on all the authors and documents studied, that Environmental Licensing is an important instrument of the National Environmental Policy that came to consider the relationship between environmental sustainability and economic development, serving as the principle of dignity of the human person and the fundamental right to an ecologically balanced environment, as it is a state tool for environmental management. This instrument is still available to society to control environmental impacts harmful to environmental resources.
