Resumen:
Occupational stress is an union of phenomena that are shown in the worker’s organism as a
form of defense and to confront the problems, and that is the reason why it can harm their
health. The main factors who cause stress in the workspace involve the aspects of the
organization, administration and system of work and the quality of human bonds. The
research exposed has the intention of raising a reflection about the need for an evaluation
with these sectorial professionals, considering the sector urgency and emergency the location
more stressful of the hospital environment, this point seen from other forms of work
produced. Contributed significantly, considering a differentiated view on the stress levels of
professionals active in the Regional Hospital Cajazeiras/Hospital Regional de Cajazeiras. The
study presented has descriptive characteristic with quantitative approach. The population was
composed of 30 nursing professionals randomly chosen. For data collection was adopted:
“INSTRUMENT FOR MEASURING THE OCCUPATIONAL STRESS: STRESS
INVENTORY IN NURSES (IEE) ”, an inventory which was adapted to the reality of
research. In research it is clear that the factor considered by most nurses as stressful is large
number of calls, ie what makes the work environment more stressful is the relationship
between the number of users to be served with the structure behaves for them , sufficient
number of professionals and teamwork.
