The present study entitled “SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACT OF THE NATIONAL SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM ON FAMILY AGRICULTURE: A CASE STUDY IN THE CITY OF CAJAZEURS” has as its General Objective: To investigate the socioeconomic impact of PNAE on the improvement of income generation processes in family agriculture in the city of Cajazeiras - PB. Specific Objectives To analyze the economic and social impact of the development of income generation through family farming in the city of Cajazeiras da Paraíba; identify the strengthening of family farming through the PNAE; understand the operation, monitoring and supervision in the purchase of food produced. The methodological development is from a qualitative approach to exploratory and descriptive research, which gathers as data collection instruments interviews and official PNAE documents. The research was conducted at Cajazeiras Municipal Education - PB. PNAE resources for municipalities and states vary according to the number of students in public schools. Schools, in turn, through the nutrition sector, prepare their menus, primarily in line with regional food traditions and the production of local family farming, defining the products that will be purchased annually. We conclude that the institutional procurement market, which plays a relevant role for local development and the strengthening of family agriculture throughout the country, had a substantial increase through Law 11.947 / 2009: from its effective date, in 2010, This law, which delimits the guidelines of the National School Feeding Program, determined that at least 30% of federal funds destined for the purchase of school meals from the municipal and state schools should be used for direct purchases from family farms having a positive financial impact of farmers' income in the city of Cajazeiras - PB.
