Resumo:
Paleontology is quite diffuse in scientific and academic circles for being a science major contribution to understanding the evolution of the planet and its species. However, their dissemination and integration into the school curriculum is poor, partly because it is a new science, a scientific language is difficult to assimilate and their objects of study are far from the reality of school teachers and students. So discipline as in the case of paleontology that has this difficulty, needs to be addressed through methodological strategies to facilitate their understanding and assist in learning. And among these strategies, we highlight the educational games in order to facilitate and stimulate learning in students a dynamic, attractive and indeed significant class room. Since several studies in this area demonstrate the enormous contributions achieved in school learning, from the insertion of didactic games. In this sense, it is intended through this work examine these benefits from the construction, application and analysis titled didactic game Apprentice paleontologist, held in the State School José Rolderick de Oliveira, in the city of Nova Floresta-PB, with students from 6th year "A" elementary school II. At first, in order to place students in key subjects that would be worked out during the game, was given a lecture with slides addressing some contents related to paleontology. Then, twenty students were chosen randomly invited to participate in the game, which contained a tray of thirty houses, four tops and cards with questions and multiple choice answers. The goal was who would hit the most number of responses, put forward in the squares of the board, passed through the gates and came first in the last house, won the game and earned the trophy with the title of Apprentice paleontologist. At the end of the game a five-item form about the same, from the results obtained from the test was applied, was remarkable excitement and attraction that the game awakens the student, assisting in the acquisition of knowledge in a pleasant way, contributing to the socialization. And all this associated with the fascination that paleontology awakens in students. Thus, the results obtained through this analysis, we can once again stress the importance and necessity of
insertion of these teaching strategies in the classroom, being a good way to get out of school routine, but without neglecting the educational basis.
